About the Role

We are currently seeking a Sales Executive – MICE to join our Commercial team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in positioning the hotel as Hulhumalé's preferred venue for meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions, corporate events, and social gatherings. As part of our pre-opening team, you will build lasting client relationships, drive revenue growth, and contribute to establishing Manhattan Grand Hotel as a leading destination for events in the Maldives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute proactive sales strategies to generate MICE business and achieve individual revenue targets.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the corporate, government, travel trade, association, and event management sectors.
  • Conduct sales calls, client presentations, site inspections, and familiarization tours to promote the hotel's facilities and services.
  • Prepare compelling proposals, contracts, and quotations tailored to clients' event and accommodation requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, destination management companies (DMCs), travel partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Revenue, Reservations, Food & Beverage, and Operations teams to ensure seamless planning and successful execution of events.
  • Represent Manhattan Grand Hotel at industry exhibitions, networking events, and sales missions to strengthen brand presence and generate new business.
  • Maintain accurate sales activities, account information, and pipeline updates using the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth.

About You

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of sales experience within the hospitality industry, with exposure to MICE, corporate sales, or event sales.
  • Strong understanding of the Maldives hospitality market and the corporate events landscape.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills with a proven ability to convert leads into business.
  • A commercially driven mindset with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages will be an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and hotel sales applications.
  • Pre-opening hotel experience and an established network within the Maldives corporate or travel industry will be considered a distinct advantage.
