About the Role
We are currently seeking a Finance Executive – Accounts Receivable & Income Audit to join our Finance team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. As part of our pre-opening team, you will play a key role in safeguarding the hotel's revenue, ensuring financial accuracy, and establishing strong internal controls from day one. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who combines analytical thinking with a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Accounts Receivable function, including invoicing, billing, collections, and reconciliation of corporate accounts, travel agents, and credit customers.
- Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up on overdue accounts, and maintain healthy cash flow through timely collection efforts.
- Perform daily income audit procedures by verifying revenue generated from all hotel outlets, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, and other revenue streams.
- Reconcile revenue reports with the Property Management System (PMS), Point-of-Sale (POS), and payment gateways to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve revenue discrepancies, posting errors, and billing issues in collaboration with operational departments.
- Prepare daily revenue reports, accounts receivable aging reports, and management summaries for the Finance Manager.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.
- Assist with month-end closing, account reconciliations, and external audit requirements.
- Support the implementation of finance systems, procedures, and controls during the hotel's pre-opening phase.
About You
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, or Hotel Finance, preferably within an upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of hotel revenue cycles, credit management, and income auditing procedures.
- Experience with hotel systems such as Opera PMS, POS systems, SunSystems, or similar accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Pre-opening hotel experience will be considered a distinct advantage.
