About the Role
We are currently seeking a Concierge to join our pre-opening team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. This role serves as a trusted local expert and personal ambassador for our guests, curating memorable experiences and providing seamless assistance throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guests with personalised recommendations on dining, sightseeing, entertainment, and local attractions across Malé and Hulhumalé.
- Arrange guest transportation, including airport transfers, taxis, ferries, and car rentals.
- Coordinate restaurant reservations, excursion bookings, spa appointments, and event tickets on behalf of guests.
- Handle guest luggage requests, courier services, and mail/package coordination.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively resolve requests with efficiency, discretion, and a genuine sense of hospitality.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel facilities, promotions, and local partner services to provide accurate guidance.
- Liaise closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, and F&B teams to ensure seamless coordination of guest requests.
- Handle special requests, VIP arrangements, and unique guest occasions (celebrations, honeymoons, business needs) with attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with the Hotel's brand standards, grooming guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures.
About You
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Concierge, Guest Relations Agent, or similar guest-facing role, preferably within an upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong local knowledge of Malé and Hulhumalé, including dining, attractions, transport, and services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and professional demeanour.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple guest requests simultaneously.
- A network of reliable local contacts and service providers will be considered an advantage.
- Discretion, patience, and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
- Working knowledge of Opera PMS or similar property management systems will be considered an advantage.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
