About the Role

We are currently seeking a Public Area Attendant to join our pre-opening team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all public and back-of-house areas, ensuring guests and colleagues experience a consistently immaculate environment throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators, and back-of-house facilities, to the Hotel's brand standards.
• Conduct regular rounds to monitor cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of all assigned public areas throughout the day.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Restock supplies in public restrooms and common areas, including toiletries, tissues, and hand sanitisers.
• Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks, including carpet cleaning, glass and mirror polishing, and floor care, as scheduled.
• Handle spills, waste disposal, and general upkeep promptly to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure public areas are presentation-ready ahead of events, VIP arrivals, and peak periods.
• Adhere to correct handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working in guest-facing and back-of-house areas.
• Ensure compliance with the Hotel's brand standards, grooming guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures.

About You

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Public Area Attendant or Housekeeping Attendant, preferably within an upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining consistently high presentation standards.
• Sound understanding of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and safe chemical handling.
• Good physical stamina, with the ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Basic communication skills in English sufficient for guest interaction and reporting.
• Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach to identifying and resolving cleanliness issues.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
