About the Role
We are currently seeking an In Room Dining Attendant to join our pre-opening team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences directly within guest rooms, ensuring every order is prepared, delivered, and presented with the precision, warmth, and discretion expected of a luxury hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, confirm, and accurately process In Room Dining orders in coordination with the kitchen and order-taking team.
- Prepare trays and trolleys with correct presentation, garnish, and setup in accordance with brand standards.
- Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms promptly, courteously, and within established service time targets.
- Set up in-room dining experiences, including table settings, amenities, and special occasion arrangements as requested.
- Explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guests with confidence and accuracy.
- Handle guest requests, special dietary needs, and last-minute changes with professionalism and discretion.
- Collect and clear trays and trolleys from guest rooms in a timely and unobtrusive manner.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and stock readiness of the In Room Dining pantry/station at all times.
- Process billing and payment accurately, ensuring correct charges are posted to guest accounts.
- Ensure compliance with the Hotel's brand standards, grooming guidelines, hygiene regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures.
About You
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an In Room Dining Attendant, Waiter/Waitress, or similar F&B service role, preferably within an upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, tray/trolley setup, and in-room service etiquette.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages will be considered an advantage.
- Discretion, professionalism, and respect for guest privacy when entering and servicing guest rooms.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in presentation, order accuracy, and timing.
- Physical stamina to manage trolleys, trays, and frequent movement across guest floors.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices; formal certification will be considered an advantage.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
