About the Role
We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our pre-opening team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. This role is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Housekeeping team, ensuring guest rooms and public areas consistently meet the hotel's exacting standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants across assigned floors or sections.
- Conduct thorough room and public area inspections to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards are consistently met.
- Allocate room assignments and monitor productivity, ensuring rooms are serviced within established time standards.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to Engineering and the Executive Housekeeper.
- Manage and control linen, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies within assigned areas, minimising wastage.
- Train, coach, and mentor Housekeeping colleagues on cleaning standards, safety procedures, and brand expectations.
- Coordinate closely with Front Office to prioritise room readiness, particularly during high-occupancy periods and VIP arrivals.
- Manage Lost & Found procedures for items found within assigned areas, ensuring accurate logging and secure handling.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations across all housekeeping operations.
- Ensure compliance with the Hotel's brand standards, grooming guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures.
About You
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a Housekeeping supervisory role, preferably within an upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, and inspection procedures.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to housekeeping operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across departments.
- Working knowledge of housekeeping management systems will be considered an advantage.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
