About the Role

We are currently seeking a Chauffeur (Driver) to join our pre-opening team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. This role is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation services for guests, executives, and hotel operations, representing the Hotel's brand of sophistication and care from the very first point of contact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, timely, and professional transportation for guests, including airport transfers, hotel-to-destination trips, and scheduled excursions.
  • Maintain the assigned vehicle in immaculate condition, ensuring cleanliness, roadworthiness, and adherence to Hotel presentation standards at all times.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues, damage, or maintenance needs promptly to the Transport Supervisor.
  • Assist guests with luggage loading/unloading and vehicle entry/exit with courtesy and attentiveness.
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and fuel usage in accordance with Hotel procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with local traffic laws, licensing requirements, and Hotel transportation policies at all times.
  • Coordinate with Concierge, Front Office, and Transport Supervisor to manage guest transport schedules and last-minute requests.
  • Handle VIP and executive transport assignments with discretion, punctuality, and a high standard of professionalism.
  • Respond calmly and appropriately to any road incidents, emergencies, or vehicle breakdowns, following Hotel emergency protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with the Hotel's brand standards, grooming guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures.

About You

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chauffeur or Driver, preferably within an upscale hospitality, corporate, or VIP transport environment.
  • Valid and current driving licence appropriate to the vehicle class, with a clean driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic regulations across Malé and Hulhumalé.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a calm, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Sound understanding of vehicle care, basic maintenance checks, and safety procedures.
  • Strong sense of punctuality, discretion, and reliability, particularly when handling VIP or executive guests.
  • Physical fitness to assist with luggage handling as required.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
