About the Role
We are currently seeking a Food & Beverage Attendant to join our pre-opening team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. This role plays a vital part in delivering warm, attentive, and efficient service across the hotel's restaurants, bars, and event spaces, bringing the hotel's brand of craftsmanship and connection to every guest interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt, courteous, and attentive service to guests during all meal and beverage service periods.
- Set up and break down tables, service stations, and outlet areas in accordance with brand and hygiene standards.
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately, liaising closely with the kitchen and bar teams.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, special occasions, and dietary requirements.
- Ensure cleanliness, mise en place, and readiness of the outlet before, during, and after service.
- Support colleagues during high-volume periods, events, and banqueting functions as required.
- Handle guest queries and minor concerns with professionalism, escalating to the Supervisor when necessary.
- Comply with food safety, hygiene, and responsible beverage service regulations at all times.
- Ensure compliance with the Hotel's brand standards, grooming guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures.
About You
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Food & Beverage Attendant, Waiter/Waitress, or similar service role, preferably within an upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
- Working knowledge of food and beverage service standards and sequence of service.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety practices; formal certification will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages will be considered an advantage.
- A warm, attentive, and guest-focused personality with genuine pride in service delivery.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays/equipment as required.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
