About the Role

We are currently seeking an Engineering Supervisor to join our pre-opening team at Manhattan Grand Hotel. This role is responsible for supervising the day-to-day maintenance and technical operations of the hotel, ensuring all systems, equipment, and facilities function safely, reliably, and to the highest operational standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily activities of the Engineering team, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance operations.
• Coordinate and monitor preventive maintenance programs for all hotel systems, equipment, and guest room facilities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, breakdowns, and guest room technical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment service records.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialised repairs, servicing, and statutory inspections.
• Support energy management initiatives, monitoring utility consumption and identifying efficiency opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with fire, life safety, and health and safety regulations across all engineering operations.
• Assist the Chief Engineer in managing spare parts inventory, tools, and engineering stores.
• Train and mentor engineering colleagues on technical procedures, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
• Ensure compliance with the Hotel's brand standards, health and safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures.

About You

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in hotel engineering or facilities maintenance, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity, preferably within an upscale or luxury hospitality environment.
• Diploma or trade certification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Working knowledge of fire and life safety systems and statutory compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate a technical team, including scheduling and task allocation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond effectively to urgent maintenance issues.
• Basic computer literacy for maintenance logs, work order systems, and reporting.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and respond to emergency call-outs as required.
